Beer festival's record profit

A RECORD profit of more than £8,500 was raised for charity by the fourth annual Culcheth Beer Festival.
More than 1,000 people attended the two-day event and enjoyed live music, a hog roast, a choice of 40 cask ales, a variety of bottles beers, lagers, ciders, wines and soft drinks.
After last orders were called the following statistics were revealed:
Those attending had consumed: 2,765 pints of ale, 445 pints of cider, 396 bottles of lager and 25 bottles of wine.
Plans are already in place for next year’s festival which will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 11 and 12.
