Wolves squad to tame Tigers

WARRINGTON Wolves’ boss Tony Smith has named his 19 man squad to prepare to take on Castleford Tigers in a play-off preliminary semi-final on Thursday evening, confirming that Stefan Ratchford will fill in at full-back for the injured Matty Russell (pictured).
Thankfully Russell is not as badly injured as first feared but is set to lose several teeth. Scans have revealed no serious injuries to his head and neck.
Paul Wood returns to the squad following a one match ban, but there is still no place for sidelined joint skipper Bennie Westwood.
Castleford’s opening play-off encounter saw them comprehensively defeated by league leaders St Helens so the Yorkshire side will be keen to reverse fortunes this time out as there are now no second chances.
The sides have won one game apiece so far this season so this one is the decider.
