WARRINGTON Wolves are delighted to have signed six Latchford players into the U19s Academy for 2015.
Jack Fox (centre), Charlie Phythian (centre), Harry Reardon (scrum half), George Moore (hooker), Reece Brunt (stand-off) and Nathan Ainsworth (loose forward) have all progressed through the club’s ranks since being involved from a young age.
They all played their amateur rugby with Latchford Albion under coach Dave Appleby and have gone on to impress when representing the U16s Academy earning the step up ahead of next season.
All six aspire to turn professional and play for the first team at Warrington as they enjoy the competition and the team environment that has been created at Wolves over the last two years.
Player performance manager Phil Jones said: “It is brilliant to be able to announce the signings of these young players from Latchford Albion. The coaches at Latchford have done great work with the lads to support them in reaching the U19s Academy and shows the ongoing quality of community Rugby League in Warrington. This is the most players that we have signed from one community club and shows how the strength of the game within Warrington is growing.
“We would also like to recognise the fantastic representative achievements of these players as Jack, Charlie and George all represented England U16s this year, and Reece and Nathan played for Wales U16s. It is a great honour to represent your country at any level and these junior internationals will add to the others we have signed and developed in the U19s.”
