MORE than 4000 people turned out for the 2014 Annual Woolston Show at the weekend.
The event was organised by the council’s neighbourhood team with help from the Friends of Woolston Park group and it featured the 37th Woolston & District Horticultural Show.
The free family event saw a huge turnout of crowds who came along to enjoy the entertainment and activities which included demonstrations by a local cheerleading troupe, circus skills, balloon modelling and duck herding.
Residents also enjoyed a funfair, a dog show, cake stalls and even demonstrations on learning to ride a bike.
Cllr Kate Hannon, executive board member for leisure, community and culture, said: “This year’s Woolston Show saw an exceptional amount of residents come along to join the fun. This is a credit to all those involved in the event over the years and through the support from local residents, the annual event continues to thrive.”
