NINETY local residents attended a “Get Engaged” with the NHS in Warrington at the latest Clinical Commissioning Group public event, held at Orford Jubilee Hub.
The event included the CCG AGM and the latest governing body meeting, looking back at all the achievements from the last year.
Dr Andy Davies, local GP and CCG Chair said: “We relish having the opportunity to engage with the public, and knowing so many people came along to find out about what we’re doing locally is even more heartening.
“Our patients and local people are at the core of everything we do, finding out about the experiences of our patients really drives home that we’re making a difference to the people of Warrington.”
Successes of the past year include Operation Emblem, helping people with mental health problems, a cancer rehabilitation pilot and a paediatric acute response team which involves managing children in the community so they don’t have to go into hospital.
