LiveWire mile returns

THE LiveWire Mile has returned for a second year running at Victoria Park on Sunday September 21.
In partnership with the English Half Marathon, LiveWire is hosting its very own Mile challenge that is encouraging families and individuals to take part and get active, whilst raising money for a charity of their choice.
The Mile will begin at 12.45pm, shortly after the English Half Marathon and 10k run. Participants will have a fun warm up session that gets the blood pumping before taking on the one mile circuit around the park. Entrants can run, walk, skip, hop or jump around the track and will receive a t-shirt and medal for taking part.
Andrea Morley, LiveWire’s Senior Events Officer said: “I’m really excited that the event has returned for second year. We already have 300 LiveWire Mile entries, but runners can register up until the 18th September on our website or any LiveWire leisure facility or sign up on the day. This is a great opportunity for families to raise money for a charity of their choice whilst having a great day out.”
This year’s event is based on a festival theme, so participants and supporters will have access to the special event village which includes; a food festival, health and fitness expo, live music plus lots of family fun until 3pm
