Sports festival plan for young people

0

A SPORTS festival involving young people from Lymm, French twin town Meung-sur-loire and two other towns in Germany and Poland could take place next summer.
The idea has come from Meung-sur-loire and is being considered by Lymm’s town twinning society.
The idea is for an exchange between youngsters aged 10-14 involved in sport in Lymm, Meung and two similar towns in Germany and Poland which are also twinned with Meung.
The festival would take place in Meung at the beginning of July next year but, as a first step, the French are suggesting sending parties of young people from Meung to each of the other towns with the aim of meeting up with similar youngsters over a period of three or four days.
These exchange visigts could take place during the February half-term and/or the Easter holidays.
Peter Birchall, of the Lymm Town Twinning Society, is keen to find out which sports clubs and schools in Lymm would be interested in getting involved with the idea.
Anyone interested, or with any ideas to contribute should email Peter at [email protected]
