Charity's farmers' market

WARRINGTON-based charity, the Walton Lea Partnership, is holding its ever-popular monthly Farmers’ Market tomorrow (Sunday) at the Mulberry Tree Pub on Victoria Square in Stockton Heath from 10am to 2pm.
The charity, which provides supported employment for adults with learning difficulties, mental health challenges and the early onset of Alzheimer’s, organises and arranges a monthly Farmers’ Market for the last Sunday of every month. The money it charges for the market benefits its two sites, the Walton Lea Walled Garden in Higher Walton and Long Lane Garden Centre in Orford.
There will be a wide variety of stalls selling locally made cheese, jams, pickles and baked goods.
The Walton Lea Partnership will also take a couple of stands to sell seasonal fresh produce and plants from its two sites, and quality hand crafted woodwork which has been produced by beneficiaries and volunteers.
More details about the partnership can be found at www.waltonleaproject.btck.co.uk
Anyone interested in taking part in upcoming market events should contact the charity on 01925 860143.
