A NEW community suite has been officially opened at Warrington’s Ryfields retirement village.
The suite, constructed at a cost of some £14,000, has been built in part of the existing restaurant which was underused and provides facilities for social functions, gatherings and meetings.
It will be used by residents of the 243 apartments and bungalows within the village and also hired out to the local community.
Preparatory work on the project was started by the Ryfields Residents Association committee in 2012 and the scheme went ahead with the backing of Your Housing Group – who own the village – and Warrington Borough Council.
The suite was officially opened by the Mayor, Cllr Ted Finnegan.
