Motorway closed after 10-vehicle crash

MOTORISTS travelling south from Warrington have been advised to avoid the M6 following a 10-vehicle pile-up.
The crash has closed the southbound carriageway of the motorway between Lymm and Knutsford.
At least two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
An air ambulance was involve in their rescue from the crash scene.
Major queues formed on the southbound carriageway and drivers were advised to seek other routes.
Congestion has also been reported on the M56.
