Family's tribute to road victim

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road collision near Warrington yesterday (Monday).
Just before 3.45am, police and ambulance services were called to a report of a Toyota Hilux having struck a pedestrian at the junction of Chester Road, A56, and the Daresbury Expressway, A558, Warrington.
The pedestrian, Aiden Connolly, aged 20, from Glasgow, (pictured) sustained serious injuries and was taken for treatment at Aintree Hospital, Liverpool, where he sadly died.
The driver of the Toyota involved in the collision, 27-year-old man from Manchester, did not sustain any injuries.
The family of the victim have been informed and no arrests have been made.
Today, the family of Aiden Connolly issued a tribute to him. In a statement they said: “Aiden lived a happy and full life. He was a keen guitarist, a dedicated bodybuilder and enjoyed socialising with his family, friends and work colleagues.
“He was kind and thoughtful and his tragic passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew him”.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information relating to it is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101. Alternatively information can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
