YOUNGSTERS from across Warrington will once again be given the opportunity to try out new activities for free today (Tuesday) during the summer holidays at the annual VPX event taking place in Victoria Park.
Co-ordinated by Community Police Support Officers Tony Spruce and Tom Reid and sponsored by Cheshire Fire Brigade a whole host of activities will be taking place – totally free of charge.
As part of the Victoria Park Experience (VPX) there will be a chance to try a wide variety of events including street dancing, football in conjunction with Warrington Town FC, cricket and rugby, the event takes place on each Tuesday in August, from 11am to 4pmAnyone who wants to take part can just turn up on the day. Other activities will include BMX riding, skating, volleyball, athletics skateboarding and much more.
Tony said: “I would like to thank everyone who has made the event possible again especially Cheshire Fire Brigade, Stronger Together, the volunteers who helped with the bag packing at ASDA and the coffee morning at St Werberg’s.”
