A Level results in Warrington continue to show the borough is providing the “very highest quality” education, the borough council has announced.
Cllr Jean Carter, the council’s lead member for children and young people’s services, said: “We should congratulate all young people from across Warrington on their outstanding achievement.
“This is the outcome of two years hard study supported by the staff within our schools and colleges who continue to support and challenge young people to do their best.
“Our results indicate that Warrington continues to be a borough where the very highest quality of education is provided and we wish all our students the best of luck for the future.”
Initial results from Warrington schools and sixth form colleges show that A-level results are in line with last year, with 70.7 per cent of young people achieving A*-C pass grades.
The overall percentage of A*-E pass grades is 99.5 per cent – higher than the national pass rate of 98 per cent.
