Activity days for the kids

TWO free summer activity days are to be held in Warrington to help entertain the kids during the holidays.
Warrington Borough Council, LiveWire, University Academy and Cheshire Police have teamed up to host the two days.
The events will take place Wednesday August 13 and 20 at the University
Academy Recreation Centre on Insall Rd, Padgate from 11am-4pm.
They will offer a range of activity sessions from jewellery making and rugby bungee to craft activities and football skills.
The days are free to attend and will give residents a chance to have a taste of the different activities that are available in their local area. On the days, there will be Zumba, a climbing wall, mini tennis, a fire engine and many, many more.
Cllr Kate Hannon, the council’s lead member for leisure, community and culture, said: “The summer holidays mean keeping your children occupied and entertained. It’s great to see that there is such a variety of activities planned for all different age ranges. I would urge all parents to bring their kids along and take advantage of these free, fun-
filled events.”
