New police recruitment campaign

POLICE have launched the latest in a series of campaigns to recruit 100 new officers across Cheshire.
The window for Police Constable recruitment is currently open and the online application form is available on their website – but time is running out.
Closing date for applications is Monday August 4 and successful applicants will be asked to join the force later this year.
The force has accepted the College of Policing recommendation that applicants must have or be willing to attain the Certificate in Knowledge of Policing (CKP) when applying to be a Police Constable in Cheshire.
In previous campaigns, applicants were required to hold the CKP before being eligible to apply. However, in order to assist them in recruiting enough officers, they have reconsidered their current eligibility criteria and will be accepting applications from those candidates who are either currently working towards, or are willing to work towards the attainment of the CKP. Candidates must be able to achieve the qualification prior to final offers of employment being made on the 22 December 2014.
Cheshire Constabulary has a strong commitment to equality and diversity and strives to employ a workforce which is representative of the communities which it serves. Applicants are welcomed from all underrepresented groups and support will be made available throughout the recruitment process.
Any questions applicants may have can be sent by email to [email protected]
