WARRINGTON Wolves’ skipper Michael Monaghan and club mascot Wolfie were on hand to help the town’s sensory centre celebrate its second anniversary.
As part of the celebrations the centre opened its doors and welcomed new visitors to come and try out the facilities and see what the centre had to offer.
Cllr Steve Wright officially opened the Woolston based facility while centre coordinator, Mo Smith, along with the help of local parents and carers, designed the safe play area, sensory room and café with everyone’s needs in mind.
The centre supports local families and provides a safe and fun environment for children, young people and adults with additional needs whilst allowing peace of mind for parents and carers.
Two years on and the centre has been a great success with families praising the team for their hard work and amazing facilities.
Cllr Jean Carter, executive board member for children and young people’s services said, ‘It’s great to be celebrating the sensory centre’s second anniversary.
The staff provide an excellent support to families and young people and the centre is a fantastic asset to the community.”
