Impressive win for Warrington Town

WARRINGTON Town continued their pre-season build up with an impressive 1-2 win away at Evo-Stik Premier League Ashton United.
Warrington took the lead in the first half thanks to a Scott Metcalfe penalty. The hosts equalised when Warrington failed to deal with a cross from the right, shortly after keeper Karl Wills had made a top class save.
But Warrington were not to be denied when centre half Tom Hardwick headed home a Matt Doughty corner to secure an impressive victory against high league opposition.

Team: Wills, Hardwick, Robinson, McCarten, Doughty, Roberts, Mannix, Parle, Corrigan, Metcalfe, Wharton
