STAFF and customers at a Co-op store in Warringon have raised more than £200 for St Rocco’s Hospice.
Products at the store in Orford Lane were donated to a stall set up to sell snacks, sweets and hot and cold drinks.
They also arranged a colouring competition for local children as part of the fundraiser.+
The money was raised in just one day.
Steve McMaster, manager at the store, said: “As a community retailer, it is vital we support local organisations and charities.
“The work of St Rocco’s Hospice is so valuable and I am thrilled that we were able to raise some funds, which should benefit so many people in the local community.
“We couldn’t have raised this money without the support of our staff and customers and we want to give a big thanks to everyone that has donated, their support has been fantastic.”
