THE number of local apprenticeship opportunities are currently well over 100 – making it a good time to start an apprenticeship in Warrington, according to the borough council.
However, competition is high, and with each online vacancy now attracting an average of 11 applications, each applicant needs to be able to set being able to set themselves apart from the others.
The careers centre for young people in Time Square is there to help applicants get onto an apprenticeship, says the council.
Every Wednesday afternoon, 1pm – 3pm, throughout August, specialist advisors and training providers will be offering support to young people who want to get ahead of the rest of the crowd.
They will have direct access to experts who will guide you through the process, giving them the help and support they deserve.
Cllr Jean Carter, the council’s lead member for children and young people’s services, said: “With the demand for apprenticeships so high this is a wonderful opportunity for Warrington’s young people to gain that competitive edge.
“Apprenticeships are a great way to learn and can open up so many doors towards building a bright and successful future.”
