A LEADING bowel cancer charity is offering runners the chance to run for less at this year’s Festival of Run in Warrington.
Beating Bowel Cancer has teamed up with event organisers, Contest Sports, to offer those taking part in the Half Marathon and 10K Road race in Warrington, a reduced entry fee.
Entrance to the Half Marathon will cost those running for Beating Bowel Cancer, £20 instead of £29; while entry to the 10K Road Race will cost £14.50 instead of £18.50.
The EHM Festival of Run will take place in Warrington on September 21.
Community Fundraiser at Beating Bowel Cancer in the North West, Rachel Thomas, said: “We are delighted to be working alongside Contest Sports on such a great event in Warrington. This is an opportunity for people to get involved in a local event and raise money for charity at the same time. Everyone who chooses to fundraise for Beating Bowel Cancer, will be given a charity t-shirt or running vest plus some training hints and tips.”

Beating Bowel Cancer works to save lives from the UK’s second biggest cancer killer and all money raised from this fundraising event will be used to help raise awareness of bowel cancer and support patients and their families coping with the disease.
Bowel cancer is the UK’s second biggest cancer killer because many patients are diagnosed too late. Each year more than 41,000 people across the UK are diagnosed with bowel cancer. However, if diagnosed early over 90 per cent of cases could be cured.
