Man suffers broken jaw in unprovoked attack

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an unprovoked attack in the Padgate area of Warrington which left a 23-year-old man with a broken jaw.
The incident occurred between 10.30pm and 11pm on Wednesday, July 9. The victim was walking along Padgate Lane close to the junction
with Beechwood Avenue when a black Renault car stopped a short distance ahead of him.
The driver of the vehicle got out, approached the victim and punched him once in an upper-cut style to the underside of his chin.
He then got back into his car, and drove off toward Orford Road. The victim sustained a broken jaw.
The offender is described as being white, 6ft 1ins tall and of sticky build, with blonde hair that?s short at the sides and longer on top.
