STAFF at a Co-op store got together with a local singer to raise money to help restore a historic local bridge.
Singer Josh Healey performed in the store at Dudlow Green Road, Appleton and staff staged a “guess the weight of the cake” competition for customers and a raffle for a hamper.
Between them they raised £161 for Lumb Brook Community Fund to help restore the bridge.
Sarah Warren-Moore, team manager at the store, said: “As a community retailer, it is vital we support local organisations and charities. The work of Lumb Brook Community Fund is so valuable and I am thrilled that we were able to raise some funds, which should benefit so many people in the local community.
“We couldn’t have raised this money without the support of our staff and customers and we want to give a big thanks to everyone that has donated, their support has been fantastic.”
