Town get good work out at the seaside

WARRINGTON Town kicked off their pre-season friendlies with an international away day to the seaside to take on Welsh Premier League Rhyl.
With a number of squad players unavailable, manager Shaun Reid used the game to field a number of trialists, as Town eventually lost out
3-1 in a close encounter.
The game was really even balanced and Town played some impressive stuff and four chances fell to Ash Ruane but he failed to convert.
Warrington’s new signings all looked impressive and really contributed.
A lively and experienced Ashley Stott opened the scoring for the Lillywhites from outside the area off the post as a trialist failed to clear.
Two great blocks from Wills in the first half ensured it remained 1-0 to the hosts at half time.
Four changes at the break saw Glass, Bandell and two trialists come on and on the hour a well worked Gahgan free kick was slotted home by Bandell, who is pictured right celebrating with Jack West and Ash Ruane.
Wholesale changes were made and the trialists and youth struggled against the experienced Welsh Premier League players conceding two inside the last ten. Manager Shaun Reid came on to bolster the midfield towards the end!
Rhyl’s other two goals were scored by Ashley Stott and Julian Williams
