Fire fighters tackle kitchen blaze

FIRE crews from Warrington and Stockton Heath were called out to deal with a kitchen fire at a house in Orford.
The blaze was at a property in capesthorne Road and was started by an overheated chip pan.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames which had caused extensive damage to fittings in the kitchen.
Firefighters carried out a home safety assessment before leaving.
There were no reports of casualties.
