Surprise party for Enid !

A surprise party was held at Oughtrington Community Centre, Lymm, for Enid Wrigley founder of the Enid Wrigley School of Dancing to celebrate her 80th Birthday.
The centre has been home to Enid’s dancing classes for nearly 30 years and during that time she has helped raise around £250,000 for various charities from dance extravaganzas at the Parr Hall in Warrington and the Brindley Theatre, Runcorn.
Enid started dancing when she was four at the Harry Boyle Academy in Warrington, where she later started her teaching career.
“If I had sat down and thought about starting my own dancing school it probably would never have happened,” she said.
“I just started a little dancing exercise class for myself really when we moved to Lymm and it just grew from there.
“I am still dancing and teaching and working six days a week but it is mainly my daughter Margot and grand daughter Leah who run the business now.”
Enid’s philosphy is “You are as good as the day you get up!”

Enid is pictured with family members from left, Margot, Daisy, Jane and Leah and pupils who attended her surprise party.
