MP hits out over ambulance review

WARRINGTON North MP Helen Jones has slammed the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for deciding that the only public meeting to be held as part of its review of the North West Ambulance Service will take place in Preston.
She said: “I know that many people in Warrington are worried about the time they have had to wait for an ambulance.
“ The CQC should be prepared to listen to their experiences. Saying they can write in is not good enough. The North West Ambulance Service covers a very wide area. One meeting in Preston will not do.”
The MP has written to the CQC asking them to hold meetings elsewhere, including in Warrington.
The CCQ has announce they will hold a “listening event” to supp9ort a series of inspections they are doing in the North West, including one into the North West Ambulance Service, on July 8 at Preston.
