A BURNT out lighting fitting was found to be the cause of fire-alert in a commercial building at Warrington today.
The incident was in a building at Europa Boulevard, Gemini where a corridor was found to be filled with dense smoke.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used a thermal imaging camera to local the source of the smoke and a hose reel jet to dampen down the situation. A ve ntilation unit was used to clear smoke.
No serious fire damage was reported.
Two fire crews from Warrington were involved in the operation.
