AN unmarked police car was involved in a collision with another car at Warrington this afternoon.
The crash occurred at the junction of Taylor Street and the A56 Chester Road, near the Chester Road swing bridge.
There were no serious injuries but police said the driver of the unmarked police vehicle – a BMW – suffered a stiff knee while the driver of the other car, an Audi, was said to feel dizzy and dazed after the incident but was otherwise unhurt.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said there was nothing to indicate that the police vehicle had been involved in a pursuit. It appeared to have been an ordinary collision.
