MEMBERS of the Wirral and Cheshire Badger Group raised £163 when they took to the streets of Stockton Heath collecting money for their badger vaccination programme.
Tina Round, Jayne Blythe, Diana Wanless and Jack Riggall were delighted with the money raised during the afternoon and with the many positive comments they received.
Even a friendly puppy enjoyed meeting Jack in his badger suit!
Altogether, the group have raise more than £15,000 for the vaccination programme.
Farm surveys are now underway and two of the group will be attending a five day course this month to be trained as vaccinators.
More than 40 members of the group have volunteered to help with the five-year vaccination programme including surveying land for badger activity, setting traps, pre-baiting, supporting the vaccinators and storing and cleaning traps and equipment.
