Cancer awareness for ethnic groups

WARRINGTON Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is holding a special event to mark Ethnic Minority Cancer Awareness Month.
The group – which is responsible for planning and commissioning NHS services locally – is holding an information and outreach session where people can find out more about the cancer services available in Warrington.
There will be displays from support groups and health services, and a display about Warrington CCG’s Cancer Rehabilitation pilot scheme.
Minority communities are associated with late cancer diagnosis and theaim is to help them increase the chances of recognising the warning signs.
The event is to take place at Woolston Neighbourhood Hub in Hall Road, Woolston, Warrington on Wednesday, July 9 at 3.30pm – immediately after an open meeting of the CCG governing body which starts at 1.30pm.
