LYMM Rugby Club has announced the appointment of Adam Fletcher as the new Head Coach for the 2014/15 season.
Fletcher, having played for Lymm throughout his career, takes over the coaching reins from Chris Kinsey who has retired after seven years in the role.
“Fletch’ as he widely known, will be supported by the assistant coach Adam Bray, the first team hooker, and John Millington who is head of Fitness and Conditioning. Fletcher has been heavily involved in recent seasons with the Colts Academy, having been instrumental in the development of Lymm’s younger players and their continued success.
“I am very excited about next season because our senior players are mostly still young, and we are combining them with the emerging colts who are top class. I am ambitious for the club and firmly believe we will one of the top teams in National League Three North as the season progresses,’ commented Fletcher.
“We are taking a more professional approach, with the aid of video analysis, player profiling and conditioning programmes. Pre-season work is already underway, and many of the players have been subject to body fat percentage and weight testing.’
Chairman of Lymm RFC John Cartwright added, ‘Despite being a strictly amateur club, we offer great facilities to our players and a superb rugby playing environment. I am delighted Adam has taken the senior coaching role. He is a great guy, has worked hard with our youngsters over many seasons and is totally committed to his new role and Lymm RFC!”
