POPULAR comedian John Bishop comes to Warrington’s Parr Hall as part of a series of pre-tour warm-up dates for his UK-wide “Supersonic Tour”.
No stranger to Parr Hall, Bishop last visited the venue five years ago and since then has gone from strength to strength to become a national TV personality.
Born in Liverpool, Bishop now lives in Cheshire with his wife and three sons.
Prior to his career as a comedian, he worked as a medical representative, before leaving to pursue stand-up comedy. He performed for the first time in Manchester in 2000.
During his subsequent, successful career, Bishop has also been known for his work in charity, raising £3.4m for Sport Relief in 2012.
Most recently in May this year, he donated £96,000 to the Hillsborough Family Support Group after being moved by personal statements delivered by the victim’s families at their inquests.
Expect stories from Bishop’s life experiences – fatherhood, cycling around the world, football and working as a nightclub doorman.
