Five want to be youth MPs

FIVE young people have put their names forward to be Warrington’s next member and deputy member of the UK Youth Parliament.
They are Rachel Davies, aged15, a student at University Academy,
Tim Hammersley, aged 17, of Lymm High School Sixth Form, Michael Moran, aged 17, of Priestley College, Tom Scott, aged 16, of Cronton College and
Rose Warburton, aged 15, of Beamont Collegiate Academy.
Twenty thousand young people, aged 11-18, across the borough, have the chance to vote in the election from Monday 2 until Thursday 5 June.
The UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) allows young people aged 11 to 18 to have a say on national issues that affect them and is made up of around 400 members.
Warrington Borough Council’s electoral services will oversee the election process and the count.
The results will be announced at an event on Friday June 6 at the Town Hall.
