Wolves announce 19 man squad to face table topping Leeds

WARRINGTON Wolves will be without skipper Ben Westwood and Aussie second rower Trent Waterhouse for their clash with table topping Leeds Rhinos at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday night in Round 15 of the First Utility Super League, kick-off 8pm.
Westwood picked up a three match ban and £300 fine after being found guilty of a danegerous throw tackle on Wakefield Prop Scott Anderson last weekend – and the Wolves have confirmed they will not be appealing the decision. Meanwhile Waterhouse faces a three month lay off with damaged knee ligaments picked up at the Magic weekend victory over St Helens.
Glenn Riley has been drafted into Smith’s 19 man squad for the weekend, which also includes the Monaghan brothers who were rested at Wakefield.
The Wolves played the current league leaders earlier in the season, going down 12-18 at Headingley back in February.
Warrington moved up into fifth after last week’s win over Wakefield and will be hoping to continue their recent good run of form this weekend and reverse the previous result.
Friday evening will kick off with an under-19s curtain raiser between the two sides who are currently joint top of the Academy league.
