House blaze under investigation

AN investigation is going on into the cause of a fire which caused serious damage to a house at Warrington.
The blaze was in the roof space of a house in Six Acre Lane and three fire engines – two from Warrington and one from Runcorn – were called to the scene.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
They also had to remove loft insulation and cut away external roof and joists, which were then sheeted over to provide protection from the weather.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
Police also attended the scene. No-one was hurt.
