Blaze in communal bin compound

FIREFIGHTERS used two hose reel jets to tackle a blaze in a communal bin compound off Orchard Street, Warrington.
A new of bins were ablaze and the fire spread to fencing before it was extinguished. The cause is under investigation.
Two fire engines were involved in the operation.
In a separate incident, fire crews were called to Howard Avenue, Lymm, to tackle a blaze in a wooded area close to Oughtrington Primary School.
Crews also dealt with a fire involving a quantity of hay on farm land off Brook Lane, Rixton. A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze.
