THE fourth annual Warrington Mela is to take place on Sunday, August 10 at Queen’s Park and the Parr Hall between 11am and 5pm.
Now well established as a family festival celebrating diversity and and strengthening community conhesion in Warrington, the event is being organised by a number of local organisations, including the Warrington Ethnic Communities Association (WECA), Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) and Warrington Borough Council (WBC).
It is also supported by Cheshire Fire, Cheshire Police, Stronger Together and Warrington Voluntary Action.
The festival will celebrate Warrington’s array of cultures and take visitors on a journey from Asia to Africa and Europe.
It will feature live music, stage performance, dancing, children’s entertainment, crafts and much more. Entrance will be free and visitors can look forward to an extensive selection of food stalls offering a range of culinary delights from around the world.
The event will also feature traders offering ethnic clothing and a selection of custom jewelleries. Advice and information stalls from a range of Warrington based charities, health and social care teams will also be at hand for public engagement.
