A WARRINGTON school has won breakfast club funding under a national scheme run by Kellogg’s.
St Barnabas Church of England Primary School in Bewsey and Whitecross has been awarded £200 cash plus £200 worth of breakfast cereal vouchers under the Kellogg’s “Help Give a Child a Breakfast” campaign which aims to provide two million breakfasts to children throughout the UK.
Headteacher Penny Johnson said: “We all know that having a good breakfast helps children learn. Our breakfast club also helps make life a little bit easier for busy parents who might have to leave earlier for work.
“So we’d like to thank Kellogg’s and we’d like to thanks everyone who’s making our breakfast club a success.”
Kellogg’s say they have helped set up 1,000 breakfast clubs so far, and they hope to set up another 1,000 in the current academic year.
