THREE men from Warrington are to appear in court on May 19 charged with offences arising from the seizing of heroin with a street value of about £1 million.
The three – Imran Malik, 38, Gameal Adawee, 44 and Alan Holding, 47 will appear with Tariq Kaliq, 43, of Wilmslow.
They were all arrested between April 19 and May 6 as part of Operation Komodo, a pro-active investigation into the supply of Class A drugs, carried out jointly by Cheshire Police, West Midlands Police and the National Crime Agency.
They will appear at Chester Crown Court, charged with various drugs offences, including conspiracy to supply and possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.
Detective Inspector Peter Case of Cheshire Police Force Crime Operations Unit said: “This investigation focused on stemming the supply of heroin into the North West.
“This operation builds on the successes we have had working with our partners and other law enforcement agencies to have a significant impact on those who seek to profit from drugs supply.
“The supply of illegal drugs spreads misery across our towns and is harmful to whole communities.
“I would urge anyone in the community who knows individuals who are involved in the supply of drugs to pass on whatever information they have to the police by calling 101. If they want to do this anonymously they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and we will act on it to make a difference in your community.”
