Dog poop bins cause a stink!

OVERFLOWING “dog poop” bins have created a stink in public parks in south Warrington.
warrington-worldwide readers posted pictures of over flowing bins in local parks on twitter complaining that they were not only an eyesore but a health hazard.
Meanwhile Grappenhall based councillor Mike Biggin (pictured left) has tackled the borough council over the issue.
He said: “It clearly represents a serious risk to Public Health to allow these bins to be overflowing with bags
of dog faeces and other rubbish.
“We do encourage dog owners to use this facility so I feel the Council officers must resolve this as a matter of urgency.”
A council spokesperson said: “Due to increased activity in some of our parks over the bank holiday and due to a recent staff illness some bins in parks and open spaces across the borough have unfortunately not been emptied at their normal frequencies.
We will be looking to clear the backlog as soon as practicable in those areas during this coming week.”
