Want to be a foster carer?

WARRINGTON Fostering Service is launching a new drive to recruit foster carers during this year’s Foster Care Fortnight, May 12-25.
To help bust the myths that surround foster caring, the fostering service is inviting people to take the “Guess Who Fosters” test online
at www.warringtonfostering.co.uk/guesswhofosters
Drop-in events will also be held around the borough, when people will be able to meet foster carers and members of the fostering service to discuss the matter.
Christine Howley, manager of Warrington Fostering Service, said today: “This year the UK will need over 8,000 new families to provide loving homes for children in care. So please go online and take the ‘Guess Who Fosters’ test – you may not have realised you can be a foster carer. And please share the link with your friends and family so they can take the test too. We need to make sure children in care in Warrington get the secure homes they need.”

The drop-in events will be held as follows:

Tuesday 13 May 10am Orford Jubilee Hub, Warrington

Thursday 16 May 10-4pm Sainsbury’s Church St

Saturday 17 May 10-4pm Golden Square Shopping Centre

Tuesday 20 May 10am Starbucks, Golden Square Shopping Centre

Friday 23 May 10-4pm Morrisons Warrington

Saturday 24 May 10-4pm Family Fun Day at Warrington Market

Thursday 29 May 6pm Orford Jubilee Hub
