Cable faults close two town centre streets

TWO busy town centre streets have been closed at Warrington today as a result of two major faults on a high voltage cable.
Scottish Power says the faults are in Froghall Lane and Crosfield Street, either side of their junctions with Midland Way.
Emergency work is starting this morning and the borough council says this will mean closures of Froghall Lane, from its junction with Bewsey Road to Midland Way and Crosfield Street, between Nicholson Street and Midland Way.
This is to enable repair work to be carried out safely.
It is hoped the work can be completed before the weekend.
Diversion routes are being signposted on site.
