LYMM Rugby Club’s first “Ladies Day” event takes place at the club’s Beechwood headquarters on Friday, June 20 to raise money for local children.
The charity lunch aims to bring together women from across the village to socialise and strengthen community involvement.
All the local primary schools will directly benefit from ticket sales, with proceeds split evenly between Statham, Ravenbank, Oughtrington, Little Bollington, High Legh, and Cherry Tree as well as the club’s own charity, Grassroots.
Each school’s PTA is helping to organise the event which will run from 11am until 3pm. Tickets cost £30 and include a welcome glass of fizz and a two course lunch.
There will also be a post-lunch fashion show, shopping stalls from local businesses and a take home goodie bag. A well-known local compere will host the event.
A cash bar will be available and wine can either be pre-ordered or bought on the day.
Colette Cartwright, from the club, said: “The men have their sportsmen’s dinners so we thought it was about time the ladies had an event here too!
“This lunch is valuable opportunity for local women to come together, socialise and have some fun in a beautiful setting while raising some money for all the local schools.”
Tickets are expected to sell quickly and the deadline for ticket sales is May 23. They can be obtained from school PTAs or Lisa Brogan on [email protected]
