THE Ignite Business Club – an innovative forum set up by Warrington School of Management to help local organisations tap into the professional expertise available at the University of Chester – is to hold its first specialist event.
A workshop entitled “Generate sales with social media” will be held at the university’s Warrington Campus on Wednesday, May 21.
It will be led by digital marketing expert Tanya Hemphill – and will be the first of a series of professional workshops run by the club.
Ignite was launched with a presentation at the Warrington campus when the keynote speaker was digital agency guru Adrian Lomas.
Its future events will be open to all, and will offer local small businesses expert help and advice to increase their profits and become more commercially and digitally savvy.
Club members will enjoy a complimentary business diagnostic, access to master classes and professional workshops on a range of sought after subjects; online training; and access to the wealth of knowledge available at the university.
Meryl Bradshaw, senior lecturer at the Warrington School of Management, said: “Enthused by the positive response of delegates who attended our launch the Ignite team is looking forward to working together with local SMEs.
“We see this as the beginning of a beneficial and worthwhile relationship between the university and local businesses.”
