WARRINGTON Wolves kept their Wembley dream alive as they thrashed

Championship outfit Doncaster 68-0 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium,

including four tries and 10 goals from stand-in half back Chris Bridge and a hat-trick from winger Kevin Penny.
The game was over as a contest by the interval as Warrington proved far too strong for their lower division opposition as they built up a 30-0 interval lead, eventually running in 12 tries and 10 conversions – including a personal points tally of 36 for Bridge.
It took nine minutes for Warrington to open up the Doncaster defence after Rhys Evans broke to send Penny under the sticks, with Chris Bridge adding the simple conversion to make it 6-0.
Straight from the kick off Doncaster knocked on allowing the Wolves to pile on the pressure and they were over again on 14 minutes as Ben Currie open up the gap for Matty Russell to go over with Bridge again on target.
Three minutes later the Wolves were over again, this time Ryan Atkins going under the sticks, with Bridge adding the two to make it 18-0.
The visitors got close to the Wolves line but couldn’t get the ball down and back came Warrington as Mickey Higham was held up on the line. Doncaster again had another chance but the Wolves defence stood strong and then on 35 minutes Bridge struck twice with two tries in as many minutes, converting both to make it game over at the break 30-0.
It took just three minutes after the break for Warrington to extend their lead as Brad Dwyer dummied his way over with Bridge again on target.
To be fair to the visitors they managed to stem the Wolves traffic for the best part of 10 minutes before Joel Monaghan found a gap out wide to score in the corner, with Bridge’s conversion drifting wide making it 40-0.
On 58 minutes Bridge completed his hat-trick under the sticks and added the conversion to make it 46-0.
Penny was next to go over in the corner on 63 minutes with Bridge again missing the difficult kick. Four minutes later Penny completed his hat-trick, with Bridge adding the extras this time to make it 56-0.
Bridge went over for his fourth try on 73 minutes, which he converted and then two minutes from time Rhys Evans flew over in the corner, with Bridge again on target to complete the scoring.
