POLICE are investigating a number of cat shootings at Culcheth – one of which proved fatal.
A pellet recovered from the intestine of one cat is said to be from a gun used for hunting small animals.
The shootings have been taking place in the Shaw Street/Thames Road/Severn Road area.
Cat owners in the area are extremely worried and have appealed for anyone who has any information to contact the police.
One cat owner said: “We really need some help in putting this to an end.”
