WARRINGTON Town are still looking for three points to secure a home play off place as they suffered a smash and grab 3-2 defeat at fellow play off contenders Ramsbottom.
Shaun Reid’s side were leading 2-1 with three minutes left on the clock thanks to goals from Skipper David Mannix direct from a corner after 17 minutes which was cancelled out by a free kick from former Town player Owen Roberts on 36 minutes and a deflected effort from Ciaran Kilheeney on 80 minutes.
But the game was turned on its head with a controversial penalty in the closing minutes converted by Gaskell with the hosts than snatching an unlikely victory deep in stoppage time from Burton!
Town are back in action on Monday, when they entertain Prescot Cables, kick off 3pm.
A victory should secure a home play-off place with Warrington then travelling away to Harrogate next Saturday for the final league game of the season.
