Wood and Grix face lengthy lay offs for Wolves

WARRINGTON Wolves will be without Prop Paul Wood a loose forward Simon Grix when they welcome local rivals Widnes Vikings to the Halliwell Jones Stadium in two days time for their annual Good Friday contest.
Wood, who has just returned from long term injury, is set to undergo surgery on a torn bicep which will keep him out for 8-10 weeks, while Grix (pictured) has a dislocated shoulder, which could see him absent for a similar number of weeks, if not the season! They join skipper Ben Westwood on the sidelines
Head Coach Tony Smith, who welcomes back forwards Roy Asotasi and Ben Evans from niggling injuries, says the full extent of the injury to Grix will not be known until swelling reduces. He could be out 8-10 weeks or worse case scenario for the whole season!
Meanwhile Warrington will be out for revenge after the Vikings completed the League double over the Wolves last season picking up 38-22 and 16-6 wins over their rivals.
