NINETEEN weeks after a nine-year-old dog went missing – believed stolen -at Warrington, a major search is continuing for him.
Monty, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel disappeared in the early hours of December 2 while being taken for a walk by his owner, Warren Soens, near Crosfields Recreation Ground at Great Sankey.
Warren and his father carried out an immediate search of the area but Monty was nowhere to be seen.
The following day they contacted the police, dog wardens and dog homes and also contacted local vets – including those in nearby towns.
Monty wasn’t wearing his collar when he vanished – but he is microchipped and neutered.
Monty has a Facebook page, “Find Monty Missing/Stolen” whose members are growing on a daily basis. Many members have walked miles searching for him and delivering posters.
But so far there has been no sign of him.
But Warren’s heartbroken family refuse to give up. They are trying to widen the search.
