WORLD War I graves at Warrington Cemetery will be decorated and cleaned up as part of a community project.
Young people will work closely with several community partners to learn gardening skills and the history around WWI, before being designated War graves to decorate in small teams.
Each team will be given information about the soldier buried in the grave and then decorate it how they choose.
The project is being run by TRYHARD, set-up for young people aged 14-19 who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET), working closely with Warrington Cemetery, Sainsbury’s, o2 Think Big, The Walton Lea Project, Ryfields Care Village, and various military personnel.
It will take place from Monday April 28 to Friday May 2, between 12-3pm each day.
